In his speech, the Chairman of the Vietnam Energy Association emphasized the power is as important as a blood system that every nation needs it for its economical and social development. Vietnam is not an exception. Energy is a systematical industry that needs unified management of subsystems, such as coal, electricity, renewable energy in all processes, including production, construction of infrastructure, investment, pricing etc. The discussion at the Seminar focused on the need of power and the development plan from now till 2020 and 2030; the solution for building up the power infrastructure in general and Power Development No 7 on particular (July 21st, 2011 the Prime Minister issued Decision 1208/QD-TTg approving the Master Power Development Plan for period 2011 - 2020 with extended view up to 2030);how to restructure the power industry and to set up a power competitive market etc.
Most of opinions agree that the direct instruction of the Government and related Government organizations is needed in order to develop the power infrastructure.
