Vietnamese entrepreneur and the morale combined operations

These days, when the nation is jubilantly celebrating the traditional day of Army, you must have reminded difficulties, sacrifices and magnanimous period of our nation, haven’t you?

Annually, on these days, not only me, but also people nationwide do remind the glorious day of our nation- the Establishment Day of Vietnam People’s Army.

This is also the occasion recalling me the courageously sacrificed soldiers, reminding memories about comradeship in the bullets and bombs rain, about civil-military relations and the spirit of determining to fight for the victory.

Trained from Army, experienced both in wartime and peacetime, which factors do create your success in business?

War field and business share the common fierce factors; the spirit of determining to fight for the victory is the motto and motivation for each unit and soldier. In order to ensure the final victory, each soldier and unit has to closely and scientifically cooperate with each other.

The spirit of determining to fight for the victory is turned into the prompt and sensible thought in analyzing, the determination in instruction and operation. In business, we do not make determination to look for success by all means but seek to business style by typical thought, investing in State-requirement sectors by sharing successful chances with partners, customers and donating charity activities.

For Pacific Corporation, how do you integrate the spirit of “combined operation” in business?

What I have to day is due to train and practice of Army. Lessons from army rank are integrated into managing and running my business. With the spirit of “combined operation” I have expanded operation in some sectors with strong partners such as cooperating with EU, Japan in the field of industry; coordinating with Korea, Japan, Vietnam in EPC; and working with Korea and Vietnam in terms of real estate.

Experiencing wartime, what is the predestined affinity promoting you to enter into business area and parliament?

Predestined affinity of becoming delegate of the 13^th National Assembly is that when I visited former chief officer – General Dong Sy Nguyen (Former Commander of Truong Son Soldier, Vice president of Board of Minister – current is Government). He encouraged me self-nominate delegate of National Assembly to take the opportunity of further studying and improving. After several days of pondering and consulting friends, I had decided to self-nominate in Nghe An – my hometown and I have been selected. 

At the National Assembly Parliament, I have contributed my opinion in some areas, mainly issues regarding economic, defense, security and social affair fields. Along with other delegates’ opinion, some contents were recognized by NA.

Owning experiences of a soldier in Warfield, businessman in business field and NA Parliament, what do you want to share with Vietnam business community?

In the war of fighting against aggression, one of the deepest lessons determining the victory of Vietnam is the spirit of national unity, combined operation and the determining to fight for the victory. I think that, in business, the spirit of coordination is among the most important factors for the development of each enterprise.

The spirit of coordination of “Uncle Ho’s Soldier” in economic battle front is impossible to be absent. Several examples of vetarans who are successful in developing economic area share and support their partners in relation of knowledge, skills for developing economic sector and poverty reduction. There are many army enterprises succeed in business which underlyingly originated from the spirit of combined cooperation and determining to fight for the victory of old soldiers in economic battle fields

Besides, there have been enterprises implement their work according to “snach of oppotunity”, unfair competition reducing the reputation of Vietnam business community and creating adverse image for foreign friends and partners

Currently, our institution is reformed basically and comprehensively by the Party, State and NA. What do businesses and businessesman should do? In my opinion, if there is no spirit of cooperation in business and businessmen community, it is hard to form a strong business and businessman to compete to and integrate with regional and international areas.
