Deserving to be “Uncle Ho's soldiers” will be the national intangible heritage.
The Hero of the People's Armed Forces, National Assembly Delegate, Phan Van Quy has participated in Deserving to be “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers” is the national intangible heritage at the Talk of “70 years deserving to be Uncle Ho’s Soldiers” hold by People's Army Newspaper
Prof. Dr. Dinh Xuan Dung, Member of Central Theoretical Council, Colonel, former Deputy Director of Department of Propaganda and Political Education (Political General Department of Vietnam People's Army) said that deserving to be “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers” not only shows the special relationship between Uncle Ho and soldiers, vice versa, but also indicates the unique value of army culture in Vietnam
The Hero of the People's Armed Forces Phan Van Quy sympathizes fully with the value and the quality of Uncle Ho’s Soldiers
“internationally, as far as I know, I have never seen any country that soldier is honored the title of a hero of national liberation; their leader and army is considered to be a “large university” to train and practice the youth generation as in Vietnam. Also, there have never been any countries which soldiers become the examples of progressed person due to the quality, lifestyle and working manners. It is seldom to see any nation where people wholeheartedly love, protect and help soldiers and ready to encourage their children to admit to army to protect and build the nation as in Vietnam”, shared Phan Van Quy.
With the meaning, Deserving to be “Uncle Ho’s Soldier” is really the creativity of Vietnamese people, the unique characteristic in Vietnamese culture and the history of building and protecting the country.
“Uncle Ho’s Soldier” is the typical value in the Vietnam cultural flow at Ho Chi Minh age. What is good and special of Deserving “Uncle Ho’s Soldier” and its standards is that it “is unchangeable once it is formed” but it is nurtured, supplemented and developed according to real situation of building and protecting the nation.
Actually, Deserving to be “Uncle Ho’s Soldier” and its standards is the successor of the national traditions and development complying with the real revolution of Vietnam
Previously, if in the war, the sacrificed heroes as Phan Dinh Giot, Nguyen Viet Xuan, Le Dinh Chinh are the examples shining millions of the youth; nowadays, revolutionary heroism is further stepped up by the image of “Uncle Ho’s Soldier” which is day and night shown in sea and territory areas, in the images of rescuing and fighting against social evil in daily life.
“At National Assembly forum, when discussing the program of economic restructuring, I forcibly proposed that the cases of Vinashin, Vinalines which had not taken full charge of their responsibility, should be transferred to the management of army units because Army’s enterprises taking responsibility for economy are closely logically organized and deal with problems quickly.
Thus, according to The Hero of the People's Armed Forces Phan Van Quy, Deserving to be “Uncle Ho’s Soldier” is the national intangible heritage that not only recognizes the value of sacrifices for people but also preserves, promote and expand it widely. “Uncle Ho’s Soldier” standard will be supplemented, completed and developed in line with new situation so as to contribute to build regular, well-trained and modernized army force.
Besides, currently, the adverse effect of market economy is step by step snaked in all aspects of social life, including army units. The hostile forces, in the peaceful evolution strategies, have concentrated on our Army’s depoliticization goals. Therefore, deserving to be “Uncle Ho’s Soldier” – the national intangible heritage plays the role as the motivation and it is closely attributed to the huge responsibility for maintaining, promoting the title in Army.
We can also take this title as an honorable signification and award in Army. For soldiers, it is proud to stick the title “Uncle Ho’s Soldier” to his bust when completing their tasks and assignments
To the Deserving to be “Uncle Ho’s Soldier” becomes national intangible heritage, it is necessary to call for researches and assessments of specialized entities and specialists. I believed that Deserving to be “Uncle Ho’s Soldier” and its standards becoming the national intangible heritage will receive strong agreement of soldiers and people nationwide” said Phan Van Quy
