Awarded the title of Hero of Labor to Dr. Nguyen Minh Hong.

Representing Nghe An province were Mr. Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Head of People's Committee of Nghe An province, the National Assembly delegation of the province, representatives of provincial departments.

Dr Nguyen Minh Hong was born and grew up in a traditional family in Thanh Lam, Thanh Chuong district. He was an orphan in his childhood and grew up to be a volunteer in the army. After more than 30 years of rolling on the battlefield, retiring in Hanoi, he has been promoting knowledge in the medical profession and qualities Uncle Ho's soldiers, dedication to the society. He is one of the first people in the country to propose the mechanisms and implement successfully operational model for private sector. He has set up the Center for application and advanced research with high skilled professors, doctors, leading physicians to study and apply medical advances to cure diseases.

In particularly, he is very active in social, humanitarian, charitable activities contributing to poverty alleviation, especially in upland areas, with a total support of over VND 110 billion, becomes a shining example for many people to follow. Also for assigned works, he always completes them excellently.
Recognizing those outstanding contributions, Dr. Nguyen Minh Hong has been awarded by the Party and State a second class Resistance Medal, second and third-class Labor Medal, Doctor of Merit, Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister and many titles and noble rewards. In particular, on this occasion, Dr. Nguyen Minh Hong is honorably awarded by the Party and State the title of Labor Hero during renovation period.

On behalf of the province, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong spoke highly of the efforts and positive contributions of Dr Nguyen Minh Hong to the socio-economic development of the province. He is a good example for the people in Nghe An, Hanoi and others to follow.
Dr Nguyen Minh Hong emotional expressed his deep gratitude to the Party, the State, and this will be his responsibility to overcome serious illness, continue effort to contribute to the country and homeland.

On 05 February 2013, Nghe An Benevolent Foundation for the Gifted sent to Mr. Ho Duc Phoc, Chairman of Nghe An People’s Committee a document No.30/CV-QNA for consideration to propose to the State to award the title Hero of Labor to Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong. On 31st May 2013, Head of the State Truong Tan Sang signed Decision No. 992/QD-CTN to award the title of Labor Hero to Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong.
