Attending this Conference, there were Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, representatives of Central Ministries, Diplomatic agents, international economic cooperation organizations and over 240 local and foreign investors. On the Pacific Group, there were Mr. Ho Minh Ngoc - Deputy Director in charge of Binh Thuan area, Mr. Phan Le Hoang - Chairman of Pacific Energy Joint Stock Company - Binh Thuan and some employees of Group's representative office in Binh Thuan attended the Conference.
At this Conference, representatives of Binh Thuan Province introduced and promoted potential and advantages to domestic and foreign investors continue to consider, select and make decision on investment in all industry – agriculture – services sector; Therein, it focuses on 3 fields: Sustainable green tourism development, recycled energy and agricultural application of high technology which are identified as 3 main fields to have sustainable development.
In the Conference, representatives of Binh Thuan Province granted Investment Decision for 17 projects, including Thai Hoa Wind Power Plant (at Hoa Thang commune, Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan province) and Thai Phong Wind Power Plant (at Hoa Minh commune, Chi Cong commune and Phong Phu commune, Tuy Phong district) which are invested by Pacific - Binh Thuan Energy Joint Stock Company (a member of the Pacific Group).

In this Conference, the EDF- Sojitz - Pacific – Kyushu investment group (including France's EDF Energy Group, Pacific Corporation, Sojitz Group and Kyushu Corporation of Japan) signed MOU with Binh Thuan Province about investment in the construction of the Son My 1 LNG Gas Plant in Son My commune, Ham Tan district, with a total capacity of 2,000 MW and a total investment capital of 2.2 billion USD.
  Speaking at the Conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc agreed on the provincial government's vision to build and develop Binh Thuan to be a green, clean and sustainable community, because of human health, interests of investors, Government and people. Therefore, Binh Thuan Province People’s Committee as well as investors need to have innovative thinking, new way to continue promoting domestic and foreign investment capital; to have long-term vision, improving the quality of branch, regional and product planning. Focus on the edge, building wind and solar power centers; Construct complex tourism resorts associated with sea recreation and entertainment; To develop organic agriculture, especially high-quality agriculture for people's living, for tourists and exporters, associated with the processing industry to enhance added value of products.
    This conference is also a forum for speakers, economic experts, domestic and foreign enterprises, international organizations to exchange, dialogue, identify potential, advantages, opportunities to invest in Binh Thuan; from that, propose mechanisms, policies and measures to create an environment conducive to attracting investment and mobilizing resources for socio-economic development of the locality.
